FIELDSTONE FARM

Little Victories... Big Impact

Augie

Augie the Horse

Hello there! My name is Augie. I am a registered Appaloosa gelding that was born in 1987. My registered name is Brother Augie. I will say that I look very good for my age and I am in great shape. I feel like a teenager. I am 15.3 hands tall, just the perfect size for kids and adults. I don't have spots like many of the Appys around here. I am a bay with a partial blanket on my rump. The blanket, or the white on my rump, kind of looks like snowflakes.

Prior to arriving at Fieldstone Farm in October of 2007, I did a lot of things. I was shown in 4th level dressage, and ridden English and Western, but my talents do not stop there. I was shown locally by both children and adults. I have even been in a few parades. But my favorite activity is trail riding. Boy, that is so much fun. I do not have to think much; I can just relax and enjoy the ride. Oh, I almost forgot, I have taught many beginners the basics of riding at a small local lesson program. My donors, Jeff and Kim Kozak of Ravenna, thought it was time for me to move onto something else. Why not? I am excited to have a new job. I love to work and am anxious to please. This place has so much going on all the time. I see so many different people walking down the aisles. Can't get bored here! The activities in the ring are lots of fun and the trails they have here are pretty interesting too. I love being groomed, but watch when tightening my girth; I can make a crabby face at times. Please remember to only make my girth snug in the crossties. Then as you walk me around during the warm up, please tighten the girth slowly. There is not much here that I can complain about; I am just glad to be here and be appreciated for all my talents. I think I have a lot to offer this program. I hear they have a drill team; hope I make it into that program! See you soon!
