Banjo
Hello everyone! My name is Banjo. I am a registered gray overo paint gelding. It is probably hard to tell since as I get older my gray is turning almost white. You can see my overo pattern when you are bathing me, which I do enjoy. I was donated to this great program at the end of 2003 by Mountain Glen Stables, where I took many trail rides. That was fun! But as I got older the long trail rides were a little too much for me. I needed a career change, being that I was born in 1986.
I am no small guy; I am 15.2 hands tall and very well built. The volunteers sure had fun fitting those English saddles to my masculine figure! Make sure to use one of those black non-slip pads under all of my dressage pads - it helps keep the saddle centered. Also, when taking me out for a lesson, don't forget my cool bell boots. They help me from stepping on my shoes. A few things to tell you about myself... I love to be groomed - the more attention the better! I am easy to lead and eager to please. I overheard one of the staff say I was the perfect therapy horse! You be the judge! I think all of the ring activities are great! I have a very laid back attitude, but I do enjoy the work - don't be surprised if I walk a little faster than expected. See you in class!
