Little Victories... Big Impact

Carusoe

Carusoe the Horse

Hey everybody! My name is Carusoe. I am not registered like so many of these other guys, but I am a 14 hand chestnut pony and I shine like a copper penny. You won't get me confused with any of the other smaller guys around here. I am so thrilled to be here and to be making new friends, that is if my buddy Jazz will let me. I guess no one ever taught him how to share or maybe I am such a cool guy that he doesn't want any one else to be friends with me?! Hmmm... think he has self-esteem issues? Just kidding - we have been together for many years. We were both shown and of course, he could jump higher than me, but I am a nicer mover. No offense buddy! We came from Apollo Pennsylvania, but we are no strangers to the area - we use to horse show around here. We were donated in July 2008 by the Dobrosky Family. The girls are in college and it is time for us to do something else besides hang out in the pasture and give mom and dad more work to do. Don't worry mom and dad, I will keep an eye on Jazz.

I love my new job! At my age, it is time to slow down a little. You probably would have never guessed that I was born in 1988. I know Jazz thinks he has a fan club, but mine is bigger! I heard several of the instructors call me "The perfect pony!" I think I heard the words - "I love him, he is a keeper" - several times. Don't worry; it won't go to my head. I have impeccable manners and I love attention. I stand perfectly still while being groomed. You may notice when picking my front hooves that I wear special shoes - these help support my tendons. I also wear bell boot to keep these fancy shoes on and polos on my front legs for support. I have to protect this aging body! "A little effort goes along way"! My job here is great; I get to teach young, eager riders. I am a great confidence builder since I am so steady. I am sure to be a favorite - what am I saying - I already am! The activities in the ring are tons of fun. Oh, did I mention we get to go on trail rides too, I do enjoy those. See you guys and gals soon!
