FIELDSTONE FARM

Little Victories... Big Impact

Dozer

Dozer the Horse

Hi all! My name is Dozer. I am kind of a big fella at 16.3 hands tall, but I am very sweet. I sometimes forget how large I really am. I have had two owners in my life and Fieldstone Farm will be the third. I wasn't raised like most horses by their mother; I was a bottle baby. I was so young that I don't even remember my mom. I had a "human" mom and she raised me well. I guess that is why I forget that I am a large horse and not a big dog. I was born in 1998 and am a liver chestnut Draft cross. Nicole Moosmann of Conneaut Lake donated me here in October of 2011. They would take me trail riding all over the place. I have even done some fox hunting! Hard to believe huh?! I am a laid back, easy-going guy and my favorite speed is slow or stop. I guess that is why I loved trail riding so much. I loved looking around at all the great sites. I am still learning the ropes to the ring work. I am very smart though and get better every time I go out there. I rely a lot on my leader for guidance as I learn the routine. I stand well in the cross ties for grooming, but I can be a little girthy when you tack me up. I love all the activities and games out in the ring; they are so entertaining. When you lead me around, please make sure you keep me in my space; I tend to want to be right next to you at the trot. I am just so social I forget at times where my big feet and body are. I am not trying to crowd you, I just forget. See you soon!
