Goliath
Well, hello there! My name is Goliath. I am a 16 hand, black Percheron cross gelding born in 1995. Some people think I am part Friesian based on my looks and the way I carry myself. I do like to take my time and move slow, but check me out in the pasture as I am quite elegant to watch. I was accepted into this great program in May of 2006.
I am originally from Michigan, where my previous owner took me on many trail rides - we even camped out! Please do not be intimidated by my large stature. I am really a big puppy dog and would follow you anywhere. However, please ask a staff member to come and get me out of the stall. I love to be groomed and enjoy all of the attention. When you work with me, please talk to me and tell me what you want from me. I'll try to do my best. You may notice that I am not always eager to pick up my hooves - be persistent - I will give in. I am very easy to lead and really not phased by anything. I am great with all of the activities in the ring. In the mounting area, I rely a lot on my leader; please give me the guidance I need as I get the swing of things around here. See you soon! I think I am a favorite already!
