It is very nice to meet you! My name is May, short for Maybel. I am a grey registered Percheron mare born in 1996. I was purchased in June of 2009 with the funds raised during the volunteer horse campaign. I have extensive experience as a driving horse. Previously, I worked in the fields, plowing, pulling in logs, pulling the spreader etc. I was a real "work horse". I am a stout, solid 15.3 hand mare, but as I get older I need some lighter work. That's why this job is perfect for me. I have been ridden in the fields and on the trail a little. Carriage driving is definitely my "nitch" in life. I enjoy being groomed and it is a good thing too, because I can get pretty dirty. You will notice that I am incredibly patient and stand very quietly to be hitched. I sure do look great pulling that beautiful carriage. I am slowly working my way into the riding portion of lessons. Right now I am worth my weight in gold for the driving program. Either way, this place is great. I am glad they found me. I am very eager to please and appreciate all the attention! See you soon!
