Moonlight
Hi, my name is Moonlight. I am a buckskin Shetland pony. I am only 11 hands tall which makes me the perfect size for the little riders. You may have to look twice in the stall to see me when you walk down the aisle. I was born in 1995 and boy have I done a lot. Some of you may recognize me since I was a camp and lesson pony at Scenic Run. My donors Natalie Krill and Ardis Billey knew I would love it here when they donated me in July of 2011. Natalie learned all about riding while training me. She did a great job. We went for lots of trail rides anytime of the year. Winter rides through the snow were my favorite. We also rode in many lessons and even did a little jumping. I am quite the talented gal. I love attention and I love being at the center of a crowd. I could stand there all day while you groomed me. What lady doesn't like to look her best? I have excellent ground manners and I am easy to lead. Just remember when you take me outside, I am pretty close to the tempting green grass and I may try to sneak a quick snack. I enjoy all the ring activities and love going outside. There is so much to do here and plenty of ways to keep me busy and happy. You may notice in the summer, my sensitive 'girly' skin gets a little irritated. I get rubs around my eyes and sometimes on my neck and belly too. Not to worry, I am on medication to keep me comfortable and to stop the itching. I get medicated baths to help my skin although, I really don't enjoy them. I prefer to be sponged off. There is not a lot more to tell about me. What you see is what you get; a cute, perfect mannered and great sized pony. I am sure to be a favorite. How could anyone resist my 'cuteness'? See you soon!
