Beth finds volunteering incredibly rewarding

“Volunteering at Fieldstone Farm is one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done. I have had the opportunity to touch so many lives,” says Beth Socoloff, who has been a volunteer for more than 15 years. “I walk in the barn, take a deep breath and smell the hay and horses and immediately feel grounded and happy.”

Beth started volunteering after her daughter left for college. She loved it so much that now she is at the barn several times each week, all while also working a full-time job.

Beth is the Region 4 winner of the 2022 Volunteer of the Year award from PATH Intl. PATH is the international association for the therapeutic equine industry.

Beth’s goal for each lesson is to make sure that every student is successful in some way. These victories help our students realize that they can accomplish so much more. When asked about the students she works with, she gets a twinkle in her eye, and says, “I am so proud of them. It is amazing how far they all have come.”
